◎简 介
20世纪末，杀手组织“八百龙”做大，首领泪七龙面对季秋堂（刘洵 饰）的叛变不敌，遂率手下前往莫斯科，寻找退出江湖的联络员“桌球”，以图平叛。桌球长居北方，收养一子一女姚龙（许冠杰 饰）、叶慕美（张曼玉 饰），由于不敌泪七龙、季秋堂两方杀手，桌球选择与泪七龙合作，将姚龙诱入敌手。
泪七龙为清除季秋堂，严酷训练资质优异的姚龙，姚龙失忆后任其摆布，幸有泪七龙小女紫炎珠（李丽珍 饰）调笑陪伴。姚龙经训练成为代号“自由人”的杀戮机器，为泪七龙铲除了季秋堂势力，期间为苦苦寻找他的叶慕美发现，但两人无法相认。季秋堂之女虎小姐（吴家丽 饰）同警员新田（孙兴 饰）合作，调查自由人的真面目。叶慕美被泪七龙带走，渐渐恢复记忆的姚龙要夺回自己失去的东西……
