◎简 介
本片布景是在韩战期间，美空军豪杰洛伊少校，得韦将军的女儿艾琳喜爱。调驻日本时，部下凯利娶日本女报酬妻，军部以法令不准及种族轻视不予认可；洛伊喜好日本首席舞者阿侬（高以美子饰），两人相爱，可是美军却强迫性地不答应他们连系在一路。凯利在万般无法之下只要跟随日本传统以死在一路，求与妻子永不分手。洛伊目击好友剧变，感悟与其死守成规，不如先对相爱的人负责互尽义务再说，遂与阿侬共奔前程。本片描写的是巨大的恋爱，他们为了恋爱可以放弃一切，而此影片表示的人物性情刻画也非常到位，真正能表现出正处在那种冲突无法的情况下复杂的心情。此片还曾获得最好男配角、最好女配角，提名最好影片、最好导演、最好男配角、最好编剧、最好摄影金像奖，及年度十大卖座影片。
