1940年11月27日，香港粤剧界名伶李海泉（梁家辉 饰）于旧金山表演，忽闻太太何爱榆（钟丽缇 饰）分娩。孩子出世，取名李振藩，英文名Bruce Lee。次年，百口返港，李母为婴孩取名细凤。日军侵占香港，百口受辱，细凤心生劝善扬善之心。细凤（李治廷 饰）自幼调皮多动，经常惹出乱子，遭到怙恃重办。邻家文女（贡米 饰）对他情之所钟，但他却并不在意。细凤出道很早，未几成了童星。因酷好跳恰恰舞，他结识了英国来的朋友刘连光（张一山 饰），几人组成“龙城四虎”。某日，细凤偶遇曹达华爱女敏儿（谢婷婷 饰），心生情愫，但因刘连光约会敏儿，而将此事埋藏于心。某日，在糖水店，他与校际拳赛冠军洋人查剃头生吵嘴，气力不济，被打。他为报仇，拜叶问为师，进修咏春，预备再战。此时，敏儿却向他发出了加入恰恰舞角逐的约请……
