简 介
小男孩杰米（Stephen Archibald 饰）在爱丁堡郊区一个贫苦的矿区长大，他生活在一个物资和感情极端匮乏的家庭里，童年布满着疾苦的回忆。杰米的母亲被送进精神医院，祖怙恃都很刻毒，他日突变得阴霾和狂野。终极他经过应招国家办事机构，结识好友罗伯特——一个年轻中产阶级英国人。渐渐地，男孩遭到艺术的感化，而这拯救了他的平生。罗伯特先容新书给杰米，与罗伯特的友谊，杰米变得悲观，同时他也重新修建了未来的期望。
