简 介
一个不苟谈笑、气势的警官由于妒忌和欺侮而杀死了情妇，并若无其事地观察此案，后来因心虚扑灭证据。由于他人性尚未完全耗费，在强有力的证人眼前认可了罪行。但一切同事和主座为了本身的好处而阻止他认罪，并“循循善诱”。在众人的启发和教育下，他终究认可了自己的“明净无辜”，证实了自己是“不受思疑的百姓”。
这是意大利70年月著名的政治电影，对法西斯式的政治风格和差人局内部的罪行败北停止了狠恶报复，手法辛辣而不失沉稳，情节也升沉跌宕，男配角的表示更使人难忘。本片获1970年戛纳国际电影节评审团出格奖和奥斯卡最好外语片奖。
