简 介
美国一个小镇宾州，大部分镇民是在一家汽车零件装配工场上班，全部镇的繁华敷裕维系于此。但是经济不景气，使得该工场就要关门大吉。史帝文生是这家工场的员工，为了自己、为了全镇，他跳出来去游说一家日本的汽车公司，买下工场，好保存大师的饭碗。
俗语说：「杀头买卖有人做，赔本买卖可是没人干。」日本人接掌美国工场，固然希望赚得充足的利润。而关键不但在于日本人的先辈技术移入，也在于美国员工尽心尽力，使生产线更有用力。
