简 介
清代，连考十屡次也没能中上状元后，朱秀才（黄百鸣）气死了老爹、气走了妻子，自己也抱屈于某一寺庙吊颈自杀，成果没法投胎，灵魂被附在了他自杀时所用的麻绳上。
时候来到1980年月，香港高中女生林小花（李丽珍）、林青青（罗明珠）和颜如玉（林珊珊）暑期观光的路上遭受狂风雨，为避雨，她们闯进朱秀才自杀的寺庙，雨毕，林青青于忙乱中将附有朱秀才灵魂的那根麻绳带进住室，惹来一片惊声尖叫，但随着交换的深入，她们渐渐与朱秀才成为无话不谈的朋友，而相互经过对方的激励，加倍清楚了接下来要走的路——固然，这一进程中，没少闹笑话。
