　　影片报告男孩汤马克（欧拉夫·鲁巴斯赞科 Olaf Lubaszenko饰）用天文千里镜窃看住在劈面公寓大厦的女人玛格达（格拉齐娜·扎波罗斯卡 Grazyna Szapolowska饰），不知不觉中迷恋上她的故事。她的一举一动都使汤马克魂牵梦绕，她的一颦一笑更是牵动他一切的神经。透过千里镜，汤马克看到玛格达和汉子做爱的情形，迟迟不敢示爱。直到他看到她痛哭失意的时辰，汤马克才鼓足勇气提出邀约。可玛格达拒绝了他的剖明。汤马克纯真恋爱的信心一下倾圮了，此时的他想用自杀来守住这份对恋爱的忠贞。自杀没有成功，等他出院的时辰，玛格达居然起头迷恋上了他。
　　影片是导演基耶斯洛夫斯基从他的《十戒》中第六个故事成长扩大而成的作品，并荣1988年圣塞巴斯蒂安国际电影节多项大奖。
