◎幕后揭秘
　　美国喜剧演员约翰·贝鲁西和丹·艾克罗伊德在《周六夜现场》中第一次创造出布鲁斯兄弟的角色，环球影业决定将二人的表演拍成电影，艾克罗伊德随即开始编写剧本。在1998年的纪录片《〈福禄双霸天〉的幕后故事》（Stories Behind the Making of The Blues Brothers）中，艾克罗伊德称自己此前从没做过编剧，他用长达324页的文字详尽阐述了两位主人公的出身及乐队成员的招募过程，篇幅是普通剧本的三倍。为了缓解长篇大论的负面影响，艾克罗伊德用厚厚的剧本开了个玩笑，将《洛杉矶黄页》的封面连同剧本一并交给制作人罗伯特·K·韦斯，后者找来约翰·兰迪斯将艾克罗伊德的作品改编成真正的电影剧本。
　　1979年7月至10月，剧组在芝加哥及其周边地区完成了片中多数场景，芝加哥女市长简·M·伯恩（Jane M. Byrne）给予了大力协助。作为一座见证过将近200部电影拍摄历程的城市，芝加哥也是片中的明星之一，艾克罗伊德在接受《芝加哥太阳时报》采访时说：“我们在影片中写下了对芝加哥的赞颂。”为避免受到干扰，剧组决定在周日拍摄发生在芝加哥市中心的场景，其中多数区域不允许公众进入，耗资高达350万美元，堪称芝加哥有史以来首屈一指的大制作。
　　在拍摄最后的追车场景时，剧组确实空投了一辆福特Pinto，为了让直升机从超过一英里的高度投下轿车，剧组必须获得联邦航空管理局颁发的特别适航证，审批期间，航空管理局曾认为在空中受到空气动力影响的汽车可能会对附近建筑产生威胁。片中著名的“Bluesmobile”警车其实是于1974年退役的道奇摩纳哥巡逻车，制片方在一次拍卖会上买下了加州公路巡逻队的13辆退役警车，以便打造威风八面的“Bluesmobile”，其中有些用于高速追车场景，有些用于飞车镜头。在拍摄大规模的追车场景时，剧组以400美元的单价购买了60辆警车，这些警车多数在拍摄中被毁。剧组聘请的特技车手多达40人，一家24小时营业的汽修店随时为剧组维修受损车辆。
　　《福禄双霸天》(The Blues Brothers) 由约翰·贝鲁什和丹·艾克罗伊德这对耍宝明星出演，是美国无厘头式电影的典范，主人公在项目推进过程中阴错阳差地被警察和黑社会追捕，他们每一次都会在一番布鲁斯风格的歌舞后有惊无险地得以脱身。影片里实际使用的警车“Bluesmobiles”（1974）是美国汽车制造公司Dodge Monaco著名的产品。在这部电影中总共使用了12 辆“Bluesmobiles” ， 其中包括一辆特制的能够腾空落地后摔成两截的汽车。据称，由收藏者收集的十多辆“Bluesmobiles”均为复制品，仅有的一辆原车由男主角DAN Aykroyd的姐夫拥有。在电影拍摄期间， 一重要演员因驾驶一辆片中的“Bluesmobiles”，在限速80英里的州际公路上以100英里的时速超速行驶而被拘捕。执行导演由于过于在乎那辆“Bluesmobiles”而差点忘了保释那名演员。本片以其出色的蓝调音效获得Golden Reel 最佳音效－最佳音效编辑。
