故事布景设备在了现代社会，是有关于一个塞尔奇小精灵的官方传闻，她是最初一个具有着海豹表面却能化为人形的生物，尝试着想要重新回到大海里——那是一个童话天下行将终结的时候点，一切只存在于官方传闻中的生物全数在现代社会的影响下，越发地出错、败北，他们底子就不想回去，可小精灵的歌声却是让他们回归的唯一法子……
一个有点哀痛的故事，却以一种很是美好的方式显现出来。
该片由爱尔兰Cartoon Saloon公司建造，比利时、丹麦、法国、卢森堡等多家工作室结合投拍，是一部欧洲多国合作片。
