　　纽约布鲁克林，有一个意大利家庭，每到月圆之夜，他们恍如被施了魔法，会做出一些稀里糊涂的行为。雪儿（洛丽塔?卡斯托里尼 Loretta Castorini 饰）是家里的独女，绮年玉貌，是公司里的会计师。由于前夫遭受车祸，而成了孀妇。某晚，在酒馆里，洛丽塔目击了邻桌分手的悲剧，恍如受了刺激，决议跟41岁的单身汉强尼成婚。她让强尼用尾戒求婚，因而大庭广众之下喜结连理。不外，由于母亲病重，强尼分开了纽约，临走时让她约请弟弟罗尼（尼古拉斯?凯奇 Nicolas Cage 饰）加入婚礼。她去面包房见到罗尼，后者听到亲事异常冲动，并报告了否决的来由。她力排众议，他底子不听。后来，她约请他抵家里做客，希望兄弟俩冰释前嫌，却没想到在一番剧烈的争持后，他们之间的关系发生了奥妙的变化……
