　　时候已经曩昔了七年，外星怪兽已经打破了禁区封锁，拓展到天下各地。人类不再处于地球食品链的顶端，不能不为保存而挣扎。为了庇护美国的好处，很多兵士被派往了国外与外星怪兽作战，但获得这场战争的成功希望迷茫。
　　诺亚是一位老兵，他新接到一项号令：深入怪兽的焦点区去解救一位困在那边的美国大兵，但是这项使命遭受意外，诺亚的通讯和运输都被切断，队友只剩下一个刚刚从军校结业、毫无实战经历的小鬼——而且他的兄弟还是诺亚受命杀戮的。
　　在一位当地年轻女子的帮助下，这两名流兵展开了一场必定将改变他们人生的旅程。当三人到达目标地时，他们发现在我们这个星球上的真正野兽也许并不是外星怪兽。
