　　有着昏暗曩昔的伊丽娅·叶利什科（Kseniya Rappoport 饰）从乌克兰来到意大利的维拉齐，她租住粗陋破败的房间，向劈面公寓的看门人请求工作，甚至情愿将薪水的一部分分给对方。在此以后，她又结识该公寓内某个三口之家的女佣吉娜（Piera Degli Esposti 饰），想方设法探问这户姓安德齐尔人家的工作，还盗配了他们家的钥匙。而为了进入安德齐尔家，伊丽娅更是不择手段。她似乎在寻觅什么，又似乎在躲避着什么。这一切恍如都和伊丽娅那段曩昔牢牢相连……
