◎简 介
故事发生在1897年的美国西部，青年科菲（卡尔·盖瑞 Karl Geary 饰）正在履历自己平生中最美好的时光——他行将迎娶自己心爱的女孩。不幸的是，凶讯传来了，未婚妻一家人在不明物体的攻击中全数丧命，排场紊乱，死状甚惨。在这样残暴的现实眼前，悲愤交集的科菲立誓不找到凶手誓不罢休。
科菲加入了当地的搜寻队，成为了亨利（道格·休切逊 Doug Hutchison 饰）的部属。刚起头，科菲以为凶手是凶残的印第安土著，可经过一番观察以后，他发现究竟并非如此。随着观察的深入，越来越多的线索显现了出来，但是这些线索无一不指向一个究竟，那就是在他们所居住的这片地盘之下，存在着一种很是很是可怕的异种生物。
