　　边幅秀气的青年迪兰·奥鲁克（Nick Stahl 饰）是一家葬仪社的员工，见惯了大家间的生与死，却始终看不透人生的奥义。到今朝为止，迪兰的人生可谓完败，身旁没有任何朋友，连昔时的女友也离他远去。
